Chris graduated in 2012 and is experienced in estate and property management, energy, planning and development, telecoms, compulsory purchase and compensation claims.  Chris spent a year as the assistant resident agent on a country estate managing various residential, agricultural and commercial enterprises before relocating to the Richmond office to specialise in housing and renewable developments.

heavily involved in the Company’s Planning and Development projects which range from one off conversions undertaken by landowners to strategic housing sites developed under option or promotion agreements with developers.

Another large aspect of his work involves advising on and negotiating new and existing telecommunication mast leases and rent reviews under the Code.  Chris has developed specialism in the new Code, acting for clients as far afield as Brighton.

Other roles include providing landowners with advice on new and existing energy developments including biomass boilers, wind and solar farms, anaerobic digesters, diesel generators and battery storage systems.

Now based at our Barnard Castle office, Chris undertakes a lot of one-off specialist work.  Chris acts for landowners to protect their interests by negotiating accommodation works and compensation claims during compulsory purchase schemes on their land. These can be anything from the installation of new pipes or cables by agreement to the construction of new highways under compulsory purchase powers.
