Expert Witness Reports

Expert Witness reports tend to be needed in support of judicial proceedings. Experts giving evidence in this context owe a duty of care to the court or tribunal, to whom they must give their honest expert advice. On occasions, this might conflict with the view of the party paying for that Expert.

In light of the above, for parties involved in judicial proceedings, there can be a benefit in having their own expert to advise on what the court’s expert report and testimony might contain. During the proceedings they can also advise on areas for cross examination, assisting the advocate. This is sometimes referred to as a “Ghost Expert”.

GSC Grays’ broad experience means that we are well placed to offer Expert Witness reports and advice either for the court/tribunal or in support of the advocate. For further information on these services, please contact Calum Gillhespy or Guy Coggrave.
