Ashley is a qualified Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with over 15 years’ experience and extensive knowledge of the country house, farm/estate and equestrian market across the North of England having previously worked for two national agents.
He is also heavily involved with the Family farm which allows him to relate to farmers and landowners on a practical level.
As a RICS Registered Valuer he undertakes valuations for a range of purposes including loan security, taxation (IHT and CGT), Charity Act, matrimonial and litigation purposes. Instructions are received from private and corporate clients including banks, solicitors and accountants across a wide range of residential, development and rural properties including farms and estates.
During his career Ashley has valued a number of significant and prestigious properties across the North of England including sporting estates and grouse moors.
An increasing emphasis of work is devoted to Expert Witness Valuations in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), Part 35.
Particular areas of specialism include development appraisals, negotiating option agreements, overage clauses and the release/amendment of restrictive covenants as well as planning applications and appraisals for agricultural and equestrian properties (including removal of occupancy conditions).
