Finding a new home for a growing family

With growing young children and needing more space, our client made the decision that it was time to upsize from their current property, to a new one where everyone had their own space to play, work and enjoy family time comfortably together.

Having seen a four-bedroom detached property in the perfect location advertised online on our website, our client had no hesitation in giving our Barnard Castle branch a call to arrange a viewing.

They instantly fell in love with the property and could see its future potential.  As the house was proving popular with other potential buyers, they knew they had to act quickly to secure the purchase of their dream home. However, they still faced the challenge of selling their current home to enable this move up the property ladder and our Barnard Castle team welcomed the opportunity to assist with the sale.

Solution

Finding the right buyer

Our Barnard Castle branch carried out a free, no-obligation market appraisal on the client’s current home and the team were, in turn, delighted to be instructed to list the property in Bede Kirk.

We promptly returned to capture key marketing photos and compile a detailed set of sales particulars. Within 2 days of the property being advertised across our database of motivated buyers, our own website, on Rightmove.co.uk and OnTheMarket.com and with a for sale board erected outside the property, a young family came forward to view following a call from one of our Senior Negotiators informing them of the new listing.  Having recently welcomed a new baby, the young family were keen to find a property that would provide the perfect environment for them for the future.

The young couple were also faced with the task of finding a buyer for their existing home and we were delighted to be instructed to help them with this. Within 8 days of their current property launching on the market, we secured an acceptable offer for them.  This was a great result and meant that both families could progress with the purchase of their new homes to a timescale that fitted with their needs.

Outcome

Making it happen with our dedicated team

Whilst the decision for both families to purchase their new properties was an easy one, there was still the complication of lengthy chains of buyers and sellers involved in the transactions.  After checking the full chain details and the funding arrangements for all parties involved, the chain of buyers and sellers was handed over to our dedicated Sales Progression Department, who kept in very close contact throughout the process with all parties involved, including solicitors, mortgage lenders and surveyors, to bring the transactions to a close just in time for Christmas!
