Sam returned to GSC Grays in July 2018 following completion of his BSc Honours Degree in Rural Enterprise & Land Management at Harper Adams University. He had previously carried out his placement year with GSC Grays, working in the Estate Management Department. Sam continues to work in the Estates & Sporting Management Team assisting Phil Scott-Priestley and is based at the Colburn office.
Sam spends most of his time undertaking work on upland sporting Estates in the North Pennines, dealing with a broad range of work including: landlord and tenant matters, Countryside Stewardship Schemes, grouse moor restoration and enhancement, planning and employment matters.
Sam is currently working towards his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has successfully obtained his Fellowship of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
Sam is originally from Cheshire and with a background in game and wildlife management. In his spare time Sam enjoys shooting, fishing, golf and working his gundogs.
