Raising vital funds for mental health

Friday 17th September saw 10 teams from local and regional businesses come together to walk 30km and raise over £4000 of vital funds to support the work of the charity Mind.

The route took the amateur hikers from our Head Office in Colburn, through Richmond, and then out into Swaledale, finally crossing the moors where they finished at The Milbank Arms in Barningham for a well-deserved and refreshing drink. This event provided a perfect opportunity to bring both clients and professional contacts together for a day out of the office and to enjoy the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.

It is estimated that 1 in 4 people suffer with a mental health problem in England each year and we are delighted that thanks to the efforts of our teams and sponsors the money raised can continue to support Mind to reach the people who need it most.

Director David Cooper who led the event stated, “encouraging good mental health and wellbeing has always been a priority, but never more so than in the past 18 months, where more people than ever have needed the support of charities like Mind.”

We would like to thank our sponsors Kenneth Easby Accountants, Johnson Clark, Rootwise, and Tennants Fine Art Auctioneers and congratulate once more the teams from Lycetts Insurance Brokers & Financial Services, The CLA, Handelsbanken, Ryecroft Glenton, Wrigleys Solicitors, Womble Bond Dickinson US LLP, Randall Orchard Construction Ltd, Scotts Wright Solicitors and The Barningham Estate, who made the day possible.
