SCENIC TEESDALE CALENDAR RAISES MONEY FOR CHARITY

GSC Grays Barnard Castle office are delighted to announce that they are one of several local businesses sponsoring a new charity calendar which contains classic iconic views throughout the Dale and which will be raising funds for Cancer Research UK (Teesdale) and Teesdale & Weardale Search and Rescue Team.

The photographs have been taken round and about Teesdale by Andy Beck, a well-known local artist and photographer who has co-ordinated the sponsorship and launch of the calendar.  GSC Grays have sponsored July,  which shows a beautiful image of Hannah’s Meadow, a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Baldersdale.  The site was named after Hannah Hauxwell, who’s farm it was for over 50 years. Miss Hauxwell employed traditional farming practices, with no re-seeding and no artificial fertilisers and as a result the meadows have a rich flora. The site was acquired by Durham Wildlife Trust in 1988 when the farm was put up for sale and is now managed as a nature reserve.

Chris Arundel, Director commented that “To have the opportunity to be associated with Andy’s image depicting the essence of the area in which we live and work is important to GSC Grays. The two local charities are hugely important in the work and services that they provide and through our wider marketing we have the potential to raise greater awareness to assist with the sales of the calendar.”

The calendar is now on sale and orders are now being taken – so if you would like to start your Christmas Shopping early, please click on the link below:
