Land and property specialist, GSC Grays, has acquired Andersons Northern (England) Ltd, a farm business consultancy based in Easingwold in North Yorkshire. The move, which will see the integration of Andersons Northern (England) Ltd from 1 February 2019, will make the Farm Business Services team at GSC Grays one of the largest of its kind in the North of England and will strengthen the farm business advice element of the business. The farm business advice team will continue to be led by Robert Sullivan.
Mr Sullivan said:
“We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Andersons Northern (England) Ltd, which has a long history of providing excellent advice to farming clients in the region. The new team will remain at their base in Easingwold, which fits in well with GSC Grays in geographical terms; we already operate from 8 offices from Northumberland through to North Yorkshire, with the Easingwold office expanding our services further south.
“Our farm business advice service is focused on providing our clients with sound, professional and specialist advice, supported by our separate team of land agents within GSC Grays. Our main aims are to ensure that we retain a high level of integrity and maintain our connection with practical farming.
Mr Sullivan continued: “Many farmers and landowners will need to gain a greater understanding of their business performance to make certain they have a viable future. The addition of the Andersons Northern (England) Ltd team will further ensure our team are in a prime position to advise and assist current and future clients on how to maintain competitive, profitable and sustainable businesses.”
The Andersons Northern (England) Ltd team includes Greg Ricketts, and James Severn, both highly regarded farm business consultants, with over 50 years combined experience, they are supported by David Wadsworth and Laura Ricketts, both providing farm business advice, Josh Thomson, a trainee Farm Business Consultant and Kerry Barker, the office administrator.
Greg and James both commented: “We are excited to be able to offer a wider range of services to our existing clients, now having colleagues specialising in land agency, planning & development, valuation work and land management. These complementary services will be extremely beneficial, particularly given the changes that we are inevitably going to see within the industry.”
