Georgina Watson joins our Easingwold team

Land Agent, Georgina Watson has joined GSC Grays at their Easingwold office. This appointment marks the next step for the relatively new Land Management Team at Easingwold which merged with their farm business consultancy department in January.

Georgina, who comes from a farming family, has worked in East Yorkshire for several years, advising and supporting private clients, estates and charities with her extensive experience and knowledge in the rural land sector.

After graduating from Harper Adams with a degree in Land Management, Georgina went on to complete her RICS and CAAV professional qualifications in 2011. Her previous roles have given her a diverse range of experience in strategic business planning, land management, valuations, sales and lettings, planning and development – but she has a particular interest in landlord and tenancy support.

“I’m a problem solver, I like to help families and businesses understand what options or opportunities are available to them – this starts with the confidential conversation around the kitchen table – what are the clients long-term goals or aspirations and how can we best advise to achieve those. Strategic planning in our industry is vital now more than ever – agriculture and the environment are coming under intense pressure and sadly not all farming businesses will survive. My husband is a farmer, and I come from a farming family, so I understand the intense nature of the industry and how reassuring it can be having someone in your corner”.

GSC Grays’ Director, Lucinda Riddell, who manages the Easingwold office said:
“Georgina exemplifies our approach here at GSC Grays. She is local to the area, knows many of the region’s farmers and has a deep understanding of the many issues facing the county’s farming community. She will be working throughout Yorkshire, supporting our continuing expansion in the area”
