Expert Witness

Expert Witnesses are often used to resolve disputes between parties on land and property related matters.

An expert’s primary duty is to ensure that the evidence provided:

  • Is independent, unbiased and fall within the experts expertise, experience and knowledge
  • States the main facts and assumptions it is based upon, and must not omit material facts that may be relevant to any conclusions drawn
  • Is impartial and uninfluenced by those instructing or paying the expert to give evidence

Our expert witnesses must comply with strict mandatory guidelines including guidance produced by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Civil Procedures Rules.
